DARK MUD

I mixed a small amount with thinner and applied it straight to my model’s base—the reddish-brown really brings out that natural, wet-mud look. Perfect for adding realistic terrain without any fuss.

The reddish-brown tone is exactly what I needed for a muddy base, and mixing it with the mud effect made it look like real damp earth on my diorama. Thinned it down with some thinner and it applied smoothly without clumping over the terrain.

The color goes on a bit darker than the photo suggests, but once I hit it with a lighter wash it settled into a nice, grimy reddish-brown. Mixing it with the effect medium gave me just the right thick, wet-mud texture for the bases.
