ASH

I mixed a tiny bit of this black pigment into a lighter shade and it transformed the color exactly as I hoped—no chalkiness at all. The powder blends smoothly with water, which made my terrain look much more realistic.

This stuff is surprisingly versatile—it mixes perfectly with water to get just the right shade of dark for my model's base. I used it straight out of the bottle for deep shadows and it dries flat with no shine. Exactly the gritty, natural look I was going for.

This pigment works perfectly for darkening my other terrain paints without making them look muddy. I applied it dry directly to a rocky surface and the coverage was surprisingly even. Only wish it came in a slightly larger container for the price.
