Compare Scale75's KRIEGSMARE CREW and SOLDIERS paint sets for sci-fi miniatures. Discover which palette suits your project based on color range, versatility, and intended use.
Quick answer
Choose the KRIEGSMARE CREW set for dark, gritty sci-fi uniforms and alien skin tones, or the SOLDIERS set for realistic modern military uniforms. Your project's theme dictates the better pick.
Color range and theme
The KRIEGSMARE CREW set focuses on a dark, industrial palette ideal for sci-fi armies, cyberpunk gangs, and alien creatures. It includes deep blues, greys, and muted greens that evoke a grim future.
The SOLDIERS set targets 20th and 21st century military uniforms, offering specific shades for German, American, Russian, and British forces. Its earthy tones and khakis are less suited for fantastical sci-fi schemes.
Versatility for different miniatures
If you paint both historical and sci-fi miniatures, the SOLDIERS set provides a strong foundation for modern military figures but lacks the vibrant or unnatural colors often needed for sci-fi. The KRIEGSMARE CREW set, while narrower in scope, excels at creating cohesive, grimdark sci-fi forces.
Trade-offs at a glance
